Since 2012 is over I’ve been thinking about everything that has gone on this year. It’s been an eventful year, we had our third baby girl.
(If you look close enough you can see the band aide mark on her heals. She had jaundice and I had to take her in daily for them to check her levels. Unfortunately that meant daily pin pricks for her. Towards the end it was hard for them to find a spot they hadn’t drawn from.)
She keeps us going but is so much fun. Three girls!
I always wanted a tribe of little boys. When I was around four I asked my 44 year old mother to have a baby boy. I never wanted a baby sister, always a baby brother. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be and I ended up being the youngest. Now I have a whole heard of girls. My days are filled with skirts (even though the temperature is below zero right now they insist on skirts), pink (If I ask my oldest what she thinks of something she’ll tell me it isn’t her favorite color, pink), and lots of giggles and screaming. The giggles I love! The screaming sets my teeth on edge, it’s worse than finger nails on a chalk board.
We also have a possible move in the future. Possible as in if the bank decides to ever make a decision. We’re past 60 days since our initial bid and 120 days since we first saw the house and loved it. Being outbid is a pain and having the person who outbid you withdraw after 60 days so you can then take over is awesome. Waiting another 60 days to not hear anything is excruciating. Did I mention in between this we put a bid in on another house and lost that one too? I never knew buying a house was so frustrating. Everyone makes it look so easy.
Since this is a nostalgic time of year I was looking through my folder of food pictures. Thank heaven I did because I found several things I didn’t blog about, which I then blogged about.
After blogging the fallen through the cracks pictures, I started wondering which foods were my favorite.
Here’s what I came up with, my top 12 in honor of 2012.
