About Me

I’m a cake baking, dessert eating, book reading and writing mom. Sometimes the food I make is awesome, other times it’s horrible, like tuna fish taco’s. I try and share the awesome dishes while leaving the others in the trash. I love cake which I’ve only now realized, it takes a while to figure out what we like and don’t like.

I love turning old things into something new and fresh. Crocheting becomes and addiction at certain times of the year and every November you’ll find me typing away at the computer attempting to write 50,000 words in a month. So far I have one book written, Dark Intentions, and I’m currently working on my second, The Soul Sorter. (If you’d like to help edit this one let me know!)

Summer’s you’ll find me outside, constantly, if I’m inside I have a burning itch to get outside. You can just forget about housework in the summer! I love my garden, you’ll find me out in it most days. If I’m not working in the garden you’ll find me at a garage sale with my mom. We are border line obsessed. Most of the things in my house are second hand and I love the stories they tell. If you can’t find me in the garden or at the local garage sale you’ll most likely find me camping. Give me a tent and a mountain and I could stay all summer. In fact, I slept in a tent for an entire summer, in my back yard.

My three daughters keep me running around. I homeschool them in preschool, no point paying for preschool when I have a degree in Elementary Education and taught Kindergarten for two years. I miss teaching but I love my little munchkins so much.

I work with the youth in my church and love hanging out with them. We meet every Tuesday for activities, it’s fun to be around all the teenagers and get to know them, hopefully help make a difference in their lives. Sunday’s I get to teach them, which I love. Can’t imagine my life without teaching.

That’s me in a nutshell. So, drop me a line and let me know what you like and want to see.
